Robert Flory, Chairman, is
President and COO of Flory Investments, Inc., a private investment
company with equity positions in a variety of early-stage, pre-revenue
ventures as well as established operating companies. Rob routinely
becomes actively involved with portfolio companies providing technical
assistance and oversight.
Robert Foster, Director,
is a Founder of Masthead Venture Partners and Commonwealth Bioventures,
venture capital funds focused on early-stage biotechnology companies. After
founding Ventrex Laboratories, Bob has spent more than 30 years
creating, building, and funding successful biotech companies.
Mark Kaplan, Director,
is a Vice President of CEI Ventures, a venture capital firm. Prior
to joining CEI Ventures in July 1999, Mark served as founding Chair
of its Board of Directors. Mark is responsible for raising, investing,
and managing the venture fund portfolios and has been instrumental
in guiding a number of start-up companies to success through his
active engagement and sharing of his professional experience with
the executive management.
Lee Thibodeau, M.D., Director,
is a neurosurgeon at Maine Medical Center and Mercy Hospital in
Portland, Maine, and a consultant neurosurgeon at New England Rehabilitation
Hospital. Lee is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University
of Vermont School of Medicine.
Steve Shea, Director, is
President of Signature Capital Securities, an investment firm
focused on early-stage growth companies with a proprietary position
in timely new products or services. Steve has a proven track record
of growing, managing and investing in companies in a variety of
industries.
David Laconi, Director -
is a seasoned executive with extensive experience with Aventis
Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Laconi has a proven track record of building
top performing sales and management teams and fueling multimillion-dollar
revenue and profit growth, including driving new business development
and product launches.
Vladimir Koulchin, Ph.D, Director -
is an industrial scientist with more than 20 years of R&D experience. Vladimir has directed the development of numerous diagnostic tests that have been commercialized and licensed by the FDA or USDA. Prior to founding Chemogen, Vladimir held senior positions at Binax and MedImmune.
